MEET THE TEAM

Dr Caitríona Ahern

Principal Dentist/ Owner

Caitriona is a graduate of UCC. He worked for a number of years in the Public Dental Service before opening her own Dental practice in Killorglin.  

She has a part time position in the Cork University Dental School and Hospital , lecturing in Oral Radiology.  

She is a mom, avid reader and enjoys gardening in her spare time 

Dr Aisling O’Sullivan

Dentist

Aisling studied Dentistry in University College Cork. Aisling’s aim is to provide high quality dental treatment in a relaxed and comfortable manner. She performs all aspects of general dentistry and particularly enjoys treating children. Aisling has completed her membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is actively involved at Branch level of the Irish Dental Association. Outside of dentistry, Aisling is a keen musician and enjoys playing the violin and piano and going for regular runs.

Dr Frank Lucey

Dentist

Frank is a graduate of UCC. He spent a number of years working in the UK but despite being a Cork man has spent most of his working life in Kerry. He joined Ahern’s Dental Practice in Jan 2021 . When not practising dentistry, he enjoys horse riding and rugby. 

Dr Michelle Frost

Dentist
Michelle is a graduate of UCC.
After graduation, she worked in both the London and Australia before moving to Kerry 10 years ago Keeping up to date in dentistry and learning new techniques is important to Michelle and she  has completed postgraduate studies n the Eastman Dental Hospital in London and regularly attend hands on courses in  Cork and Dublin. She is a member of the Irish Dental Association and an affiliate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland Outside of dentistry she enjoys being outdoors, especially hiking and swimming.

Dr Grainne Ryan

Dentist

Dr. Grainne Ryan started as a Radiation Therapist graduating in 2008 with an honours degree from Birmingham City University. She worked in the Mater Private before returning to UCC to study dentistry, graduating with a Batchelor of Dental Surgery . Grainne is committed to providing a high standard of clinical care to her patients in friendly and comfortable surroundings.

Ms Caraíosa Ahern Dental 

Hygienist

Caraiosa graduated from UCC as a Dental Hygienist with first class honours. She is enthusiastic about motivating her patients and helping them to improve their oral health. In her free time she is a big fan of Munster Rugby and reading

Ms Lena Cronin Dental

Hygienist

Lena graduated as dental hygienist from UCC. Before becoming a hygienist, she qualified as a dental nurse from The Institute of IT, Athlone. She has been an employee of Ahern’s Dental Practice since 2015. In September 2021, she begins training as a dentist in UCC . In her spare time she enjoys shopping and going to the cinema..

Mr Jeaic O’Sullivan 

Dental Nurse

Jeaic is Graduate of University College Cork with a Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours) III degree in Irish and Religion. Jeaic hopes to move into Dental Hygiene in the near future. Jeaic is a very keen sports man from rugby to triathlons. Rugby is his main passion having represented his Club ,his College and Munster at U18 . Jeaic is a people person and always strives to make your Visit to Aherns Dental a comfortable and stress free experience.

Bridget McAuliffe

Dental Nurse

Bridget McAuliffe has been working as a dental nurse in Aherns Dental Practice since August 2019. She is currently doing a Diploma in Dental Nursing in UCC. She hopes to graduate in November 2021. Her hobbies are walking and she also likes reading.
